Being Sick, and Being tired

This girl I've been seeing has been telling me to go to the doctor. I mean I don't know if I'm sick or what, but I've been really tired these days. I've been blaming my hectic schedule, so I quit the band - but that did me a fat lot of good.

I got myself checked up some time ago, and discovered that, much to my consternation, I had an elevated blood pressure.

At this age, where people from my age group have been dying left and right (due to unforeseen circumstances), you can't help but think that maybe it'd be pretty nice to learn about disease symptoms, since you don't know if what you're experiencing might be symptomatic for something.

Of course, in this day and age, you can scout around on the Internet for help on figuring out what you have (God knows I have). A simple search for disease symptoms would yield results like what I have below:

Learn about disease symptoms from Dr Daniel Amen, a specialist in brain SPECT imaging. You can also find Dr. Amen's profile here.

Right? That's pretty wigged out, considering that you can't really be sure if this guy's a doctor or not, but if you're suffering from simple symptoms, then these guys might be helpful enough. I have plans in seeing a real doctor soon, though. Nothing like a full body check-up to know how to keep the old carcass running smoothly, yeah?

Job Hunting

I remember back during the days when I was still struggling to find a job with which to support my rather lackadaisical way of studying. Then I discovered sites like Job Street, Jobs DB and this Executive Search company (although the last one wasn't of much use to a beginner like me).

And then I discovered, much to my dismay, that I didn't know what kind of work I could actually be doing. Trawling the net showed me that asking so-called experts could help. Like, say, if I were going through that executive search company I mentioned earlier, one way to know more about executive search companies is by turning to someone who knows the business pretty well. Having said that, here's Dennis C Carey, a well-respected executive search and recruitment expert. Check out Dennis Carey's profile here.

But then these people, again, aren't much help in trying to make something out of your life, career-wise. So I made myself a blog. And through this blog - my oldest, to date - I was able to discover that stint I had with E-Mac (you know who this is, Bruce), and am now somewhat capable of subsisting on what I earn.

In a sense, all the work I've been doing have all been sent my way via a stroke of luck. I got the first one by being very inquisitive, the second one by taking a friend up on his offer, and the third by sheer luck - I'd never have taken that job if they hadn't called me up.

Now, I'm in a new set of crossroads. Hopefully, I do make this one work. Funny enough, I didn't get this offer via job-hunting. I was scouted out by a headhunter, and was lucky. Yet again.

Let's hope my luck holds out.

I Want To Live on my Own Again

I can't work so well at home - the presence of family can be pretty bothersome. I dunno. I'm like that, I guess.

So I've been looking around for cheap condos for rent, or better yet, for rent to own. But I don't understand how mortgages work, honestly.

I tried looking any non-wikipedia explanations up. One of the results I ended up with a link to Home Mortgage Loans. Later on, I found another bit of information that would've helped me if my situation were more applicable: "Amerisave is a direct lender selling home mortgage loans in the possible rates and pricing. Know more about online mortgage loans by checking out Amerisave's company profile at Career Builder."

Heh. Maybe if I were an American. But I'm a bloody Pinoy.

Argh. Forget rent-to-own or mortgages. Anybody have any ideas on where one can find cheap condos for rent in Manila?

My Evil Plan

Congratulations on being the creator of a new

Evil Plan (tm)!

Your objective is simple: World Domination.
Your motive is a little bit more complex: To show them all
Stage One

To begin your plan, you must first traumatize a rich and powerful CEO. This will cause the world to sense a grave disturbance in the force, unsettled by your arrival. Who is this demented madman? Where did they come from? And why do they look so good in a corporate suit?

Stage Two

Next, you must obliterate the Internet. This will all be done from a air fortress, a mysterious place of unrivaled dark glory. Upon seeing this, the world will lose their minds, as countless hordes of mean English teachers hasten to do your every bidding.

Stage Three

Finally, you must unleash your unholy weapon, bringing about an end to sanity. Your name shall become synonymous with fear, and no man will ever again dare fire you. Everyone will bow before your superhuman powers, and the world will have no choice but to whisper your name in fear.

So You've Decided to Be Evil
